HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER!
We are pleased you are interested in joining Upstate NY Autism Alliance and our membership base which encompasses ALL developmental disabilities.
If you wish to join our group, please see the attached free family membership form.
PLEASE NOTE that submitting this form is the first step in acquiring "active member" status.
Since our membership is FREE, we do ask that members volunteer/help with fundraising efforts on an annual basis.
UNYAA is a 100% volunteer organization consisting of all parents and caregivers of children with special needs, SO we ALL pitch in to ensure our programs can continue!
We run much like other non-profit organizations such as Church groups or Boy Scouts/Girls Scouts.
We have many volunteering and fundraising options available as well as ways you can help "behind the scenes" or from home!
We post volunteering opportunities on our Facebook page "upstate autism alliance" under JOBS/Volunteering Opportunities so be sure to check those regularly OR simply just ask how you can help!
We have many fundraisers and events throughout the year which require fundraisers, volunteers and donated items such as basket raffles.
AND fundraising teams having a child with a developmental disability raising $500+ at our "Walk for a Difference" annually qualify for an "active membership" for THAT year. So be sure to register and start sharing those fundraising pages! Our membership year runs from July-August each year.

We are so lucky to have partnered with them. You can follow their work on their Facebook page FiT Camp. They are planning to have sensory gym time in the very near future!
